Dusko Piljic has achieved the honor of holding a USSF “A’ License and National Youth License. Dusko's long and distinguished career combines 25 years of International playing, coaching and continuing education. The combination of his prior playing experience, knowledge, age appropriate activities and understanding of the game bring only positive results to the players he coaches.
Coach Dusko was born on November 22, 1969 in Croatia. As a youth, he played for the respected youth Academy, NK RIJEKA, a Croatian First Division team. Playing for NK RIJEKA he experienced an international level of competition, playing against the best European youth soccer academies like AC Milan, FC Inter, FC Juventus, Bayern Munich, FC Red Star-Belgrade, NK Hajduk-Split...
Because of Dusko’s versatility as a player, he had opportunity to play all positions on the field. This gave him the ability to understand the game at the highest level, and allow him to now share with his players.
Following his career as a player, Coach Dusko earned his Bachelor of Science degree from University of Zagreb in Kinesiological Sciences graduating at the top of his class with a 4.0 GPA. In 1996, he began his coaching career as the Assistant Coach for the “NK Lucko-Zagreb”, a Croatian Second Division team. During his tenure, Coach Dusko assisted in planning of the training sessions, preparation of game strategies, analysis of team and player’s performance, and preparing short and long term objectives.
Since coming to United States in 1997, Dusko has been sharing his vast knowledge and expertise with competitive travel teams such as Palm Beach Soccer Academy, Wellington and Kicks Soccer Club. He has nurtured numerous youth players into collegiate student-athletes and onto United States youth national teams.
